Vintage Sports Car Racing
September 24 - September 27
Put-in-Bay Road Races Reunion
For the 10th consecutive year, the sounds of the open exhausts of MGs, Porsches, Triumphs, Morgan Trikes, Turners and many other unique sports cars of the past will reverberate off the buildings along Delaware Avenue and the roads around the island which were the exact same course that the cars raced in the past.
Much more than just a vintage race, the Put-in-Bay Road Races Reunion (PIBRRR) also welcomes owners/drivers of non-racing vintage sports cars of all types to come and participate in various events and activities; honoring island’s racing history, social gatherings, a car show, original course and airport-track touring, rocker cover races and more. Join us to spend the day watching a wild array of vintage and historic sports cars. Race viewing is FREE! Bring a lawn chair to sit around the airport and get a great vantage point of the races.
*Spectating at many Put-in-Bay Road Races events is free to the public including the
races themselves, the car show, viewing the original course tour, and the rocker cover
races (which anyone including non-participants can enter).
For PIBRRR details see the race car eligibility form, registration form, general race rules & regulations, preliminary event schedule and other information under the registration section at www.pibroadrace.com.
Take time to explore other island treasures including the caves, limestone beaches, State Parks, wineries and Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial. Lodging and transportation information is available at VisitPutinBay.com or visit ShoresandIslands.com.
The Put-in-Bay Road Races are sponsored by American Modern Insurance Group, Miller Boat Line, Cheesehaven, Joe’s Bar, Put-in-Bay Winery, Tipper’s & Maple City Ice. For a full list of sponsors, backers & supporters click here.
