Directions to the Miller Ferry Catawba Dock


Miller Ferries passenger and auto service leave from Catawba Island (which is actually a peninsula) at the end of Route 53 North. Miller Boat Line billboards and state signage will help point your way. During office hours an attendant will be glad to help with directions,

From Sandusky, Cleveland and East
Follow Interstate 90 West to Route 2 West. Cross over Sandusky Bay Bridge, get in right lane,
then exit onto Route 53 North / Catawba Is. Go straight north for 7 miles to the end of
Route 53 North. See map below for Parking.
If you are coming east from the Ohio Turnpike, take either Exit 118 North ( Route 4) or Exit 110 North ( Route 250), then onto Route 2 West. Cross over Sandusky Bay Bridge, get in right lane, then exit onto Route 53 North / Catawba Is. Go straight North for 7 miles to the end of
Route 53 North. See map below for Parking.
If you are coming from Cedar Point, follow Route 6 West to Route 2 West, cross the Sandusky Bay Bridge, then exit right onto Route 53 North / Catawba Is. Go straight North for 7 miles to the end of Route 53 North.
If you are coming from Kalahari Resort, follow Route 250 North, exit left onto Route 2 West, cross the Sandusky Bay bridge then exit onto Route 53 North / Catawba Is. Go straight North
for 7 miles to the end of Route 53 North.
From Toledo and West
Follow State Route 2 East then exit onto Route 53 North / Catawba Is. - the Lake Erie Islands. Follow Route 53 North to the end.
If you are coming west from the Ohio Turnpike, take Exit 91(Route 53), follow North to
Route 2 East then exit onto Route 53 North / Catawba Is. - the Lake Erie Islands.
Follow Route 53 North to the end.
From Port Clinton
There are two routes to reach the Miller Catawba Dock from Port Clinton. Take Route 163
(Perry Street, which runs along the lakefront) East to the intersection with Route 53
(you will pass a Wal-Mart on the right). Turn left onto Route 53 North, drive straight for 6 miles
to the end of Catawba.
OR: Take Route 163 East to Sand Road, which becomes West Catawba Rd. Follow to the end. This is a scenic route.
From Columbus
Follow Route 23 North. Exit onto Route 4 North / Bucyrus. Exit onto Route 2 West, cross the Sandusky Bay Bridge. Then exit onto Route 53 North, follow to the end.
OR: Take Route 23 North. Exit onto Route 53 North / Fremont, follow North to Route 2 East
then exit onto Route 53 North / Catawba Is. - the Lake Erie Islands. Follow Route 53 North
to the end.
From Dayton and Cincinnati
Follow Route 75 North to Route 6 East / Bowling Green. Follow Route 6 East to Route 53 North
Fremont. Follow  Route 53 North to Route 2 East then exit onto Route 53 North / Catawba Is. - the Lake Erie Islands. Follow Route 53 North to the end.

Passengers and Parkingparking legend

  There are five Free parking areas, for daytime and overnight parking, near Miller Ferry Dock.
  There is short term parking on the top of the dock for a passenger and baggage drop off. There are dock attendants with golf carts who will aid those with difficulty walking, or to carry baggage. Please see our FAQ's section or phone our office for more information on transporting disabled passengers
