A Love Letter to the Summer of 2013 from Miller Ferry
We love you, but you’re bringing us down. It’s only December and we already miss you. We know it’s a lot to ask, but do you think you can come back for a little bit? We’ll do something fun, don’t worry about that, we always do. Okay we know, we know, you can’t. We just miss you summer of 2013.
Think about all the amazing things we did together. Galavanting on Tall Ships for the Battle of Lake Erie Bicentennial, looking up at the night sky towards the best fireworks display Put-in-Bay has ever seen, happily drinking wine in the rain at the Island Wine Fest, and laughing at the Roundhouse’s Duck Dynasty Halloween costume. We even got to wear lederhosen and listen to German music under a big white tent. Even talking about this is making us sad.
But we have to be strong right? Those were great times, perhaps some of the best we’ve ever had together. A ton of great people and so much good stuff, we should be thanking everyone who was there with us. Thank you everyone who had fun with us, we really appreciate it.
Summer of 2013, we love you. We laughed, we drank, we sailed, we ate, we sang, we had more fun than should even be possible. But I guess this is where we part ways, so goodbye summer of 2013, you were truly one for the ages. We can’t wait to see you again next year.
