Historical Weekend Open House
Put-in-Bay, Ohio
On Saturday, September 8 the Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center will be hosting an open house featuring a live birds of prey display, guided walks on our nature trail and will be offering a special low price for entry into the wildlife museum - $1 per person! Special museum hours are 8:00 am -6:00 pm.
Our featured special presentation is by the Ohio Bird Sanctuary who specializes in avian education in the state of Ohio and also serve as a rehabilitation center for injured and orphaned birds (www.ohiobirdsanctuary.com). ). They will be joining us in the morning from 8am – 12pm, bringing Seymour, the Great Horned Owl, Mishka, the Red-tailed hawk and a few other of their feathered friends.
The Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center is located on Meechen Rd just one block east from the South Bass Island State Park on South Bass Island, OH.
