Day Visitors - If your getaway is just for the day, we suggest you come aboard as a passenger and leave your vehicle and travel worries parked on the mainland in one of our free parking areas. Your transportation choices on Put-in-Bay include golf carts, bicycles, cabs, bus service between the Miller Lime Kiln Dock and downtown, and the island tour train narrated tour. Wheelchairs - Ramps are used to board ferries. Wheelchairs can go on lower deck, however there is no enclosed cabin in case of inclement weather, nor a lower deck restroom. The ferry trip to Put-in-Bay takes 18 minutes and the trip to Middle Bass Island takes 40 minutes. The Catawba and Put-in-Bay ferry docks have wheelchair accessible restrooms, gifts shops and shelter/waiting areas. The dock at the Lime Kiln Dock, Put-in-Bay, has a steep grade to the top. This dock is two miles to the village (downtown area) of Put-in-Bay. Consider bringing your vehicle. Personnel on each dock are able to assist those who have difficulty waling or moving luggage, let the ticket booth personnel know that you need special assistance. Pets - Pets must be kept leashed or caged and on the the lower deck. Pets travel at no additional charge if with a passenger.
ATM's and Credit Cards - Each ferry dock has an ATM machine next to the restrooms and gift shops. We accept credit cards including Master Card, Visa, American Express and Discover.

Luggage - Please be sure you luggage is clearly marked with your address and phone. Let dock attendants know if you need assistance handling and loading luggage.

Worship Service - Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Catawba Av., PIB, Mass held on Saturday at 6:00 pm, Sunday at 7:00 am and 10:30 am. Saint John's at the Bay Lutheran Mass held on Sunday at 1:30 pm at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, Catawba Av., PIB, service at 10:00 am. Middle Bass Island Town Hall service Sunday at 10:00 am.

Downtown Put-in-Bay on a weekend summer night may not be suitable for children, however there are several Put-in-Bay attractions geared for families.

Island Amenities - Put-in-Bay and Middle Bass each has a grocery store and beverage carry out. Put-in-Bay also has a hardware store, library, gas station and post office. There is no pharmacy.
Medical Issues or Emergencies - There is an EMS on Catawba Ave., Put-in-Bay. The emergency contact number for fire and for police is 911. Non emergency police number is 419-285-3962.

Ferry Trips During Inclement Weather - During high winds it is possible that trips may be canceled or suspended. At times, there may be last minute decisions to cancel trips. The ferry schedule is subject to change. Please call our office for updates during foul weather 800-500-2421.
Miller Ferry Running Season - Miller Ferry operations generally begin during spring lake thaw and run until weather permits or winter lake freeze. If we operate beyond the print schedule, we will post times on the home page of this web site www.MillerFerry.com, or you can phone the office at 800-500-2421 for times.
