The battle between two Great Lake Island high schools will take place on Friday, December 11, 2009, on Put-in-Bay, Ohio when the Put-in-Bay Panthers host the Mackinac Island, Michigan Lakers in girls' and boys' basketball. The girls' game will tip-off at 6:00 pm, followed by the boys' game, at the Jim Poulos Recreation Center gym, Put-in-Bay School.

CLEVELAND, OHIO (October 5, 2009) - Great Lakes Shipyard, a division of The Great Lakes Group, has been awarded a contract by Miller Boat Line, Put-in-Bay, Ohio, to fabricate and install a new 40 foot mid-body extension in the passenger/vehicle ferry Put-in-Bay.

The sixth annual Miller Boat Line 5K Run and One Mile Family Fun Walk will be held on the Lake Erie Island of Put-in-Bay on Saturday, September 26, 2009. The runners' 5K will begin at 9:30 AM and the Family Fun Walk begins at 9:15 AM at The Boathouse Bar and Grille, Hartford Ave., downtown Put-in-Bay.

The U.S. Brig "Niagara" returns to the harbor of Put-in-Bay August 19-23 for public tours and day-sails as part of Commodore Oliver H. Perry's Birthday Celebration. Experience the life of an early 19th century seaman by taking an on board and below deck tour of the ship on Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM.
